Lalaking nawalan ng trabaho, nag-bike ng 10 araw mula Paranaque hanggang Eastern Samar

It is a sad reality that during this time of the pandemic, many of our fellow citizens lost their jobs. This is because many business establishments were forced to close down because of the lack of profit from their businesses.

Peter Roncales, 19 is just one of the many people in the working sector who unfortunately lost his job in the midst of this situation we are all in.

Roncales, having been away from his family then decided to go home after losing his job. However, the restrictions and limits in the movement of public vehicles and the lack of money for his fare left him with no choice but to use his bicycle in traveling all the way from Parañaque City to his hometown in Eastern Samar.

According to  RMN, Roncales have been cycling for 10 days before he finally arrived at his destination. Though he was exhausted, the motivation to finally meet and be together with his family again is what kept him going.

Later on, when he arrived at the border of the town of Taft, he decided to take a rest while waiting for the authorities from his hometown to help him.

Good thing that the local government of Oras was quick to respond to Roncales that they were able to fetch him and he is now staying in a quarantine facility of the said town.

We can only imagine the struggle Roncales must have gone through after cycling for 10 days. But, what is important is that he is now home and it will only be a matter of a few days before he can finally be with his beloved family.
